Talking Sheet Goods with Fine Woodworking

As a group of wood dorks, everyone on our team has been reading Fine Woodworking Magazine forever. We’ve poured over every article written by experts like Nancy Hiller, Bob Van Dyke, Michael Pekovich, and many more. Each issue, we’re grateful for how the craftsmen and women between these pages teach, mentor, and inspire us to focus on the best woodworking techniques at the highest skill level. To that end, it is a dream to be on the pages next to them. Our owner Suzanne Walton and lead builder Owen Madden compiled “The Guide to Sheet Goods” in issue No. 295.

“Every project is different, and availability isn’t always consistent; knowing each product’s strengths and weaknesses allows us to have options and tailor the materials to the specific project, with the goal being a gorgeous end result that will stand the test of time and use.”

Within the guide, we cover the pros, cons, uses, and more of 11 sheet good products. We hope you enjoy reading this piece and more in the April 2022 print issue of Fine Woodworking.
